Shannon Falls Provincial Park centres on British Columbia’s third highest waterfall, a 335-meter cascade tumbling down the granite flanks of Howe Sound. Located 58 kilometers north of Vancouver along Highway 99, the protected area occupies 87 hectares of old-growth Pacific forest where Western hemlock, Douglas fir and Western red cedar dominate the terrain according to provincial records.

The falls draw their name from William Shannon, who settled the property in 1889 and
